Slovakia

Graham Leeder is a Geordie. After studying geography at university he spent a year as a relay worker for UCCF in Glasgow. In 2006, after taking a TEFL course, he went to work abroad. He receives support from Kelvin Grove Church and works three days a week in a Catholic secondary school. He also teaches private pupils, and English classes for the Baptist church in Ruzomberok in Northern Slovakia.

The town is 200 miles north of Budapest.  It noted by Slovakians a 'stinky' because of pollution due to its industrial past. But it also known as the 'town of roses' which is the German translation of Ruzomberok. Peter Lorre, the famous Hollywood actor was born here.

Graham also helps organise the youth work at the church.  Currently he is preparing for "English Camp” a summer holiday club for children run by the church, and with the help of a team of Americans from Richmond, Virginia they will explain the gospel using Bible stories, games and crafts.
